Job Description:
  • Perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
  • Complete CT examinations following established protocols set by CT Radiologist.
  • Accurately document examinations and ensure proper charges are entered.
  • Electronically send and store images and data in PACS.
  • Maintain records and logs to monitor quality and safety according to departmental policies.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring a safe work environment and fostering a culture of safety.
  • Manage supply and equipment issues to ensure optimal operation and maintenance.
  • Transport and provide ambulatory assistance to patients as needed.
  • Educate and inform patients and families throughout the patient experience.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, utilizing established handoff procedures, and provide respectful feedback to enhance teamwork.
  • Minimize preventable harm, adhere to infection control protocols, and incorporate safety tools into daily practice, reporting near-misses or risks.
Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Preferred: Advanced education in CAT scan technology.

Experience: Required: One year in diagnostic technology. Preferred: One year of CT experience.

Skills/Knowledge: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors, and team members for safety and quality reasons.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications:
  • ARRT registered in Radiology and CT
  • Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT
