Job description

Job Support Role at UHCW and Mobile Lung Screening Service

This position supports UHCW and the mobile lung screening service across Warwickshire. The post holder will travel to various sites across Warwickshire to perform duties, including assisting patients and staff on all UHCW sites, such as Rugby St Cross and the City Centre.

The role involves assisting radiologists, radiographers, and nurses with patient examinations and care, clerical procedures, and image processing. The successful candidate must provide support to patients and staff, ensuring patient confidence, and maintaining a safe, clean environment adhering to Trust standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist patients in preparation for radiographic examinations, establishing good communication to support confidence.
  2. Observe and care for patients during waiting periods, communicating concerns to trained staff.
  3. Verify patient identification and documentation per departmental protocols.
  4. Support radiologists, radiographers, and nurses in examinations, prioritizing patient welfare.
  5. Coordinate workflow and support facilities within specialized areas.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe environment, adhering to infection control standards, and participate in equipment maintenance and quality assurance.
