Job summary

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is recruiting a CT Radiographer to work in its Community Diagnostic Centre. This permanent full-time post involves a wide range of CT scans on varied patient groups, both independently and within a multi-professional team, with an out-of-hours on-call rota and some lone working.

Applicants need experience in CT or MR and HCPC registration. The role requires flexibility and the ability to support patients with diverse needs while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in CT or MR.
• Experience in student supervision.
• Evidence of multidisciplinary team working.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of CT scans on different patient types, as an autonomous practitioner and within a multi-professional team, meeting professional, departmental and legal standards.
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
• Work alone in particular specialties and at particular times.
• Care for patients with varying needs, including those who are unconscious or have disabilities.
• Provide empathy and support to patients and relatives, including the bereaved.
