A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a skilled CT Radiographer to join their team. You will work in a friendly environment, utilizing advanced imaging equipment and participating in training programs. The role requires excellent communication skills and an understanding of CT safety. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata.
We are looking for a CT Radiographer to join our growing team. We have three GE Revolution Ascend CT scanner fitted in 2023. We have a fourth GE Apex scanner at Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre, fitted in Dec 2024. We provide CT imaging 24/7 at West Suffolk Hospital, providing a robust service for our patients. We are excited to be planning our new hospital, expected in 2030.
We are in need of additional staff to continue to provide an excellent service for our patients, keeping our waiting times low, developing services and supporting staff in their work life balance.
We are looking to employ a Band 6 radiographer. Whether you are an experienced CT radiographer looking for a new challenge or a general radiographer who is interested in a change of direction who are keen to acquire experience and have the desire to learn in CT scanning. We are keen to hear from you.
Wellbeing is a priority for our staff and staff are highly valued across the team. West Suffolk CT team are a friendly department offering opportunities for Cross Sectional Radiographers. We are fortunate to be able to offer post graduate opportunities with Radiographers who perform and report CTCs and Radiographer CT head reporting. With the opportunity to attend MDT's, where radiographers are valued by our Radiologists who share interesting cases and learning experiences.

Job summary:
To work as a skilled and experienced Radiographer as an active member of the Cross Sectional Imaging service CT team. Using initiative, skills and knowledge to provide a high quality, professional service at all times.
To have a working knowledge of Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations (IRMER) and safe working practice associated with CT and Radiology. Able to deliver and assist in day-to-day running of the CT department.
To exercise awareness of patient examination targets and manage lists accordingly providing a consistent high quality of patient care and have communication skills which reassure anxious patient mix. Ability to prioritise and organise workload including modification of scanning lists to accommodate urgent and emergency cases.
Expected to participate in the training programme in place for radiography students and, on occasion, other students including school leavers and pre-registered doctors. It is also necessary to teach less experienced radiographers in cross sectional techniques
