Job summary
The post holder will be working with the CT Lead Radiographer to develop and maintain the CT service, standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings and waiting lists. To work within the CT team in organizing and overseeing the training of radiographers and students in all aspects of CT scanning, including comprehensive competency assessments in conjunction with the CT Lead.
Working within their area they will undertake practical scanning as well as perform service evaluation to ensure optimal productivity.
In the absence of the CT lead to assume the role of leading the staff within CT.
The post holder will maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge and skills to enable them to maintain a highly professional and technical standard of clinical work. This knowledge will be disseminated through formal and informal CPD practice.
The post holder will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience, as a result we require the post holder to be present in the department 9-5pm Monday to Friday aside from their annual leave and approved study leave (and any other unplanned absence as per Trust Policy). Therefore no local agreement shifts can be undertaken if TOIL is accrued or compensatory rest is required within these hours.

The post holder will have a modality overview of CT service needs, to ensure effective co-ordination and allocation of resources. The individual will work very closely with the Superintendent radiographers in provision of Imaging Services at this site CT Lead Radiographer in the provision of CT services
