Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Radiographer to join a multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive 24-hour Imaging service. You will perform cross-sectional radiographic examinations and produce high-quality images in a busy Radiology department, while supervising junior staff and contributing to training.

The role includes rotating through CT and MR, supporting students, and ensuring patient care and safety within infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• DCR or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Statutory HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate qualification in CT or MR is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with patients and the MDT to provide a patient-centred service.
• Liaise with other disciplines and attend departmental meetings.
• Advise patients about referrals and explain examinations.
• Inform patients when examinations are complete and provide results guidance.
• Rotate between CT and MR and participate in 24/7 shift patterns.
• Maintain infection control and ensure high standards of radiation protection.
