We are seeking
A highly motivated and talented Senior CT / interventional radiographer with an interest in Cardiac imaging to work within our research/clinical facility, the Acute Multidisciplinary Imaging and Interventional Centre (AMIIC). The centre includes a hybrid unit with a photon-counting Siemens Naeotom Alpha CT Scanner and a new cardiac catheterisation/interventional lab (Siemens ARTIS Icono Biplane). The successful candidate will work on innovative prototype technologies and contribute to cutting-edge scientific projects at the University of Oxford.
The radiographer, employed by the University of Oxford, will also provide a patient-oriented clinical service for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We seek someone who enjoys working in a friendly, advanced environment, performing complex procedures using clinical and research techniques as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, radiographers, nurses, physiologists, and researchers from both the University and NHS Departments.
Due to service expansion, flexibility for weekend and evening work is required. The post may involve rotation between CT and Interventional services to support a flexible team. The candidate should hold a BSc degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography, with substantial experience in CT procedures, including cardiac work, and diagnostic interventional procedures. Registration with HCPC is essential. Experience in Cardiac Catheterisation Lab work and a Society of Radiographers Certificate of IV Administration are desirable.
This is a full-time (part-time considered minimum 18.75 hours) permanent position. The grade is Grade 8 (£48,235 - £57,255 per annum), but may be offered at Grade 7 (£38,674 - £46,913 per annum) depending on experience and responsibility, with training provided for progression to Grade 8.
