@CT Family Support Worker

Cheshire East Council is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting young people aged 10-18 years to reduce the risk of exploitation and helping families recognize and mitigate these risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing 1:1 support to young people to prevent exploitation.
  2. Supporting families in understanding and reducing risks.
  3. Collaborating with agencies to strengthen family networks for sustainable change.
  4. Capturing and utilizing the voices of children and young people to improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Own vehicle due to role nature.
  • Availability to work part of a weekend rota.
  • Strong workload management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities.
  • Passion, flexibility, and high-quality service commitment.
  • Confidence in safeguarding procedures.
