Job Opportunity: CSR Coordinator (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

We have a fantastic opportunity within our HR Department for a CSR Coordinator on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for raising the profile of Stateside Foods in the local and surrounding areas to make us the employer of first choice by supporting and developing our internal and external CSR initiatives in line with our CSR strategy. Responsibilities include communicating company news via newsletter, website, social media, and local newspapers; developing and maintaining links with external contacts such as local councils, schools, and colleges; supporting employee training and engagement initiatives; and monitoring the social impact of our charity, community, and school activities.

Role Overview

Internal Communications and Employee Experience

• Manage employee and change communications, creating messages for various projects, campaigns, and updates using channels like newsletters and emails, ensuring accessibility for all staff.
• Focus on engagement, influencing employees from senior management to shop floor.
• Collaborate with senior team members to gather information for the CSR report.
• Design and produce the CSR report aligned with Global Reporting Initiative standards.
• Write and produce the company newsletter.
• Suggest improvements to employee wellbeing initiatives, including benefits and wellness weeks.
• Promote active use of company benefits such as Health Assured and gym memberships.
• Support initiatives to maintain our Investors in People status and coordinate inclusion and diversity activities.

External Communications

• Create media content and digital assets for social media and the company website.
• Develop promotional literature for events and recruitment, including apprenticeship programs.
• Update the company website with news and relevant information.

Learning & Development

• Assist with the creation and maintenance of online training courses.
• Support training database management and KPI reporting.
• Manage content for Manager’s Support Guides on the intranet.

CSR Initiatives

• Work with local schools and colleges to promote manufacturing careers and raise aspirations, including workshops and STEM sessions.
• Act as Westhoughton High School’s Enterprise Adviser to meet Gatsby benchmarks.
• Track school attendance for impact reporting.
• Coordinate community and charity events, staff fundraising efforts, and donation responses.
• Maintain news updates on the website and CSR notice boards.
• Promote company benefits and raise awareness of initiatives like GroceryAid and Investors in People.
• Monitor social media for new initiatives, organize litter picks, and manage promotional merchandise and event attendance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong administrative and organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize effectively are essential for this role.
