A public health service organization in Clydebank is looking for a motivated trained decontamination technician to be part of their dedicated team. This role involves handling surgical instruments throughout the decontamination process. Applicants need prior experience in Sterile Services, a sound knowledge base of instrumentation, and effective communication skills. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic trained decontamination technician to join our existing dedicated team. This position is an integral part of the medical device decontamination service and is key to the successful delivery of patient care within the hospital.
As a member of the team your core responsibilities includes the handling of surgical instruments throughout the decontamination process, from receipt, disinfecting, inspection, packing, sterilisation and despatch to the user departments. The post holder also requires to demonstrate support for the Production Supervisors and Production Manager in the day to day delivery of the decontamination service by contributing to an efficient delivery of service through timely coordination of user requests. Dealing competently with requests or issues as they arise.
All aspects of work must be carried out in full compliance with the requirements of IS0 13485:2016 Medical Devices.
Flexibility in this role is essential as shift rotation and weekend working will be required in order to meet future planned service expansions.
