DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint a Solicitor/CILEX/Experienced Paralegal/Chartered Legal Executive to join the Claims Solutions Casualty Injury team in our Birmingham office - May consider applicants from other areas. You will be working with an experienced, friendly team under the Partner and associate who is Public Sector Lead for DAC Beachcroft CSG.
The successful candidate will be dealing with a wide range of mainly but not exclusively public sector cases for local authorities such as housing associations, charities and other bodies. The team handles mainly EL/PL, occupiers liability, highway liability, with a focus on strong liability issues, including cases that may go to trial.
What you will do?
- Handle casualty injury cases as part of a team of fee earners.
- Manage your own cases and assist with high-profile catastrophic claims.
- Work on a varied workload following client protocols and under appropriate supervision.
- Ensure full compliance with DAC Beachcroft billing and credit control protocols, demonstrating strong financial management of your files.
- Support marketing and business development activities, including attending events and client training.
- Build awareness of DAC Beachcroft's other services and develop effective internal and external networks.
- Stay informed about the firm's strategies and plans.
Who you are
- A qualified solicitor with experience in employers liability, public liability (EL/PL), occupiers liability, and highway liability claims.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong relationship and client handling skills, confident in dealing with clients professionally, with self-sufficiency and awareness of your own competence boundaries.
- Ability to adopt a commercial perspective on legal issues.
- Flexible and positive attitude towards new initiatives.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and willing to share knowledge and support colleagues.
