Job description

Do you have proven Civil, Structural and Architectural Design experience? Do you thrive in a multidisciplinary environment where your CSA design expertise directly shapes nuclear and industrial innovation? Are you looking for a new assignment with a company that values technical leadership, real responsibility, and meaningful impact?

The Opportunity

There are multiple opportunities available for highly experienced CSA Designers as well as Senior and Principal Designers to support a major nuclear project. The successful candidates could be based in Warrington, West Cumbria or Stockton-on-Tees based around a working week of 40 hours, with hybrid working available. Rate will be dependent on experience due to the potential for candidates of different levels of seniority to apply.

The roles will support the CSA Capability team in all aspects of CSA Design from concept to delivery. Successful candidates will preferably have existing knowledge and experience in nuclear standards and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery of complete design concepts from basic scheme definition.
  • Production of plans, sections, details & design documents using the appropriate software.
  • Collaborative multi-discipline design & client / stakeholder liaison.
  • Attending technical meetings.
  • Technical quality and excellence of your work
  • Communication with clients and other design team members to provide technical input and ensure successful integration.
  • Support and develop more junior engineers and technicians.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of design documents and solutions including drawings and supporting documents.
  • Independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities.
  • Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems whilst developing a good safety culture.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Competent Revit User
  • Minimum: BTEC / HNC or equivalent
  • Minimum: >5yrs Relevant Design experience
  • Broad based technical skills within own function
  • Capable of managing own work and that of others

Preferred:

  • Additional formal qualifications (Above the minimum)
  • Associate or Incorporated membership of appropriate professional Body
  • Familiar with Design of Heavily Serviced Buildings

The setting for the role

The role will be mainly office based with trips to site if required. A safety induction will be provided.
