Project Manager Role Profile

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who is exceptionally organised, has excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and has proven success in managing complex and diverse projects to completion to support Plymouth City Council in the development and delivery of residential children’s homes in the city.

Plymouth City Council is currently progressing a range of developments across the city which will put in place an excellent offer for children and young people. This includes the purchase and development of properties from which we will deliver high quality and nurturing homes for children in care.

The Project Manager will be based within Children’s Services working directly to the Head of Service with responsibilities including maintaining the project documentation required including the project plan, risks and issues log and communications plan.

The Project Manager will support a range of work to set up the children’s homes successfully including the recruitment of the children’s homes workforce, the delivery of a programme of workforce development, and the development of operating procedures for the homes. Crucially, they will oversee the process of registering each home with Ofsted through the national framework.
