What’s the opportunity?

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Crypto Compliance Project Manager to act as a crypto expert within our company, especially as a reference from the Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs division. This role is crucial in ensuring our crypto merchants adhere to compliance and regulatory standards, working closely with our Commercial team to onboard new clients, identify issues, and serve as a crypto content expert. This position is part of our new “crypto squad”, with high exposure and strategic importance.

What will I be doing?

  1. Serve as the main point of contact (PoC) for the commercial team, representing Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Legal.
  2. Support merchants in onboarding and enhancement processes, with a focus on crypto merchants.
  3. Act as a subject matter expert on all crypto-related topics within dLocal.
  4. Collaborate with the Traffic Monitoring Team to review reports on high-risk flows.
  5. Engage with merchants to address and resolve compliance and regulatory issues.
  6. Provide guidance to merchants on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.
  7. Assist in developing automated solutions to prevent non-compliant transactions.
  8. Maintain detailed records of compliance interactions and resolutions.

What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance, financial services, or payment processing.
  • Experience across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of compliance best practices for crypto.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for crypto companies; US regulations are a plus.
  • Deep understanding of compliance in cryptocurrency flows and processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with merchants and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
