Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join its Maritime Department and support a fleet of 11 cruise ships with electrical and electronic systems. You will work with ship staff and managers to maintain safety, compliance and high availability.

Ideal candidates hold an electrical engineering degree, sea-going experience, and SOLAS/regulatory knowledge; Electro-Technical CoC is desirable. Hybrid working (up to two days from home) is offered.

Qualifications

• Experienced and qualified electrical or electronic engineer with sea-going marine background.
• Knowledge of SOLAS, Class Rules and applicable statutory legislation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical & Electronic expertise and operational support to the fleet.
• Coordinate with ship staff and Ship Managers to prioritise requirements and maintain asset availability.
• Manage obsolescence, assess risks, and propose investments and upgrades as needed.
