Job summary

Haeata Community Campus is seeking a committed Kaiako for CRT release and technology teaching in Canterbury. This full-time position covers responsibilities for students Y1-6 and Y7-8, focusing on relationship-building and integrated learning. The ideal candidate will hold a degree and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with planning and delivering integrated learning programmes for Y1-10.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability and confidence teaching across multiple year levels.

Responsibilities

  • Teach as a CRT for classes Y1-6 and provide technology instruction for Y7-8.
  • Build strong relationships with ākonga and work in a bilingual unit.
  • Exemplify the kura's values of Hanga Whare, Alofa, Manaakitanga, Service and Success.

Haeata Community Campus has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Kaiako/Teacher, for the position of CRT release Kaiako Y1-6 and 4 hours of technology teaching (state speciality) for Y7–8. This position is ideally suited to a kaiako who is committed to building strong relationships with a range of ākonga, is committed to Te Tiriti and is able to work in our bi-lingual unit to cover CRT. This role also encompasses four hours of technology time for Y7–8, please state your specialist area.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability and confidence teaching Y1-10.
  • Experience with planning and delivering integrated learning programmes for Y1-10.
  • Sound organisational skills and details-oriented approach.
  • Sound communication skills to support ākonga, whānau and Kaimahi.
