Framestore, a multi-Oscar-winning visual effects studio, is seeking a Crowd Technical Director to bring large-scale crowds to life for our high-end film projects. You will work with Supervisors and Leads to craft dynamic motion and believable behaviours, using proprietary and off-the-shelf tools to deliver visually rich simulations that blend realism with artistry.

You’ll collaborate with Modelling, Rigging, Animation, Motion Capture and Lighting teams, develop locomotion and motion behaviours,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Houdini, including Crowds and Agent Definitions.
• Experience with Maya is a plus.
• Solid grasp of animation principles and motion aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with VFX pipelines and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsabilités

• Create and run crowd simulations as briefed by CG or VFX Supervisor.
• Develop locomotion and motion behaviours to achieve believable performances.
• Support development of new crowd tools and workflows.
• Maintain communication with Production and Leads to meet deadlines.
