Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Band 6 Radiographers to join our expanding cross sectional imaging team. You’ll work across CT and MRI with opportunities to rotate through Yeovil District Hospital and Bridgwater CDC, embracing an innovative, patient-centred approach.

The role supports flexible working, on-call rotations and ongoing professional development within a supportive radiology department. NHS pension and generous leave accompany career progression in a forward-looking service.

Qualifications

• Essential qualification: DCR or BSc in radiography.
• HPC registration required.
• Desirable: IV cannulation and contrast media training.
• Desirable: postgraduate CT or MRI qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CT and/or MRI imaging across Yeovil District Hospital and Bridgwater CDC.
• Rotate through the CDC with the latest scanners and streamlined pathways.
• Plan, perform and optimise cross sectional imaging; uphold image quality.
• Cannulate patients and administer contrast safely per PGDs.
• Coordinate daily workflow and maintain patient throughput.
• Mentor junior radiographers, students and support staff.
• Communicate clearly with patients to ensure excellent experience.
• Contribute to service development via audits and quality improvement.
