Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in Jealott’s Hill UK is seeking a Crop Metabolism Study Manager to lead metabolic fate studies and deliver data for crop protection registrations. You will work with a matrix team to design studies, review reports, and share insights on crop metabolism within global regulatory contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a biology/chemistry or related discipline.
• Experience of generating key insights from data sets.
• Active scientific participation and collaboration with colleagues in industry, contract research or regulatory agencies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, demonstrating strong organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
• Keen attention to detail and adaptability to learn and apply new skills.
• An understanding of the metabolism of xenobiotics in crops would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of plant physiology would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of data generated at CROs, design protocols, evaluate data and review/approve company reports.
• Elucidate insights from crop metabolism data and report expert conclusions to metabolism teams.
• Independently provide technical assistance and innovative solutions to external suppliers to transfer knowledge.
• Develop expert knowledge of crop metabolism and relevant regulatory guidance and implications for study designs.
• Serve as a scientific contributor, providing expertise to metabolism teams and other functions.
