Job summary

Syngenta Group seeks an Environmental Fate Metabolism Study Manager to join the Analytical Methods & Metabolism (AMM) team. You will drive fate metabolism studies, design protocols, and deliver data to support regulatory submissions for crop protection products. Collaboration with CROs and internal metabolism teams is essential.

The role emphasizes analytical problem solving, data-driven insights, and active participation in cross-functional projects within a global company environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting or managing environmental fate metabolism studies to meet GLP standards.
  • Experience generating key insights from data sets.
  • Active scientific participation and collaboration with colleagues in industry, CROs or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams with strong organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and adaptability to learn and apply new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely delivery of data generated at CROs, designing protocols, evaluating data and reviewing company reports.
  • Elucidating insights from fate metabolism data and reporting expert conclusions to metabolism teams.
  • Providing technical assistance to external suppliers to facilitate transfer of technical knowledge.
  • Developing expert knowledge of fate metabolism and relevant regulatory guidance documents and their implications to study designs.
  • Serving as a scientific contributor, providing expertise to metabolism teams and other functional areas as required.

Are you a proactive problem solver with a passion for driving technical innovation? Do you enjoy solving complex analytical problems and delivering innovative technical solutions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Fate Metabolism Study Manager to join our Analytical Methods & Metabolism (AMM) team and take on the challenge of elucidating the metabolic fate of our active ingredients in the environment. Working within a highly collaborative team of study managers and technical experts, you will have the challenge to apply your scientific background to fate metabolism data and share insights to project teams to support the registration of sustainable crop protection products. Within the role you will solve analytical problems and build relationships with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) to deliver innovative technical solutions and critical endpoints.

  • Ensuring the timely delivery of business critical data generated at CROs, being responsible for protocol design, evaluation of data and reviewing/authorising company reports.
  • Elucidating insights from fate metabolism data and reporting expert conclusions to metabolism teams.
  • Independently providing technical assistance and innovative solutions to external suppliers to facilitate transfer of technical knowledge.
  • Developing expert knowledge and understanding of fate metabolism as well as relevant global regulatory guidance documents and their implication to our study designs.
  • Serving as a scientific contributor, providing expertise to metabolism teams and other functional areas as required.
Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Degree or equivalent in a biology, chemistry or related discipline.
  • Experience of conducting or managing environmental fate metabolism studies to meet GLP standards and familiarity of the relevant Regulatory Test Guidelines.
  • Experience of generating key insights from data sets.
  • Active scientific participation and collaboration with colleagues in industry, contract research or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, demonstrating strong organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and adaptability to learn and apply new skills.
  • Knowledge of compound metabolism in the environment would be beneficial.
  • Experience of accessing services through third-party organisations would be advantageous.
