Job description

CRO Analyst - Digital Experience & Optimisation

Brighton or London (hybrid flexibility)
£35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Unlimited Holiday + Training Budget

The Opportunity

A fast-growing, entrepreneurial digital business is looking for a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Analyst to join its high-performing team. Working across a broad portfolio of ambitious brands, you'll take ownership of developing and executing impactful CRO strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine data-driven insight with user psychology and experience design. You'll be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment that values bold ideas, clear thinking, and real results.

The Role

This is a hands-on, strategic CRO role focused on delivering tangible performance improvements across digital experiences. You'll work closely with data, performance, UX, creative, and tech stakeholders to identify opportunities, build test hypotheses, and implement changes that improve conversion rates, engagement, and ROI.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead CRO strategy and delivery across multiple websites and digital products.
  • Design and implement testing programmes using platforms like VWO, A/B Tasty, or Mida.
  • Conduct in-depth behavioural analysis using GA4, Hotjar, Clarity, SessionCam, or similar.
  • Plan and run quantitative and qualitative research including journey audits, surveys, and user testing.
  • Identify user experience friction points and recommend data-backed improvements.
  • Translate research findings into wireframes, user flows, and annotated mockups using tools like Figma, InVision, or Adobe XD.
  • Present insights and CRO roadmaps to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Maintain performance dashboards and clearly communicate testing results, impact, and confidence intervals.
  • Stay up to date with CRO trends, UX psychology, and testing technologies.
  • Use front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to implement or support test deployments.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track record in designing and running CRO programmes across multiple platforms.
  • Strong understanding of user behaviour, conversion theory, and user-centred design.
  • Excellent working knowledge of tools such as GA4, Hotjar, Looker Studio, VWO, Clarity, and Tag Manager.
  • Skilled in using prioritisation frameworks like ICE and PXL to structure test plans.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present technical insights in a simple, business-friendly way.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across disciplines and challenging assumptions.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience using version control tools such as Git.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows and sprint-based delivery.

Desirable Extras

  • Experience with customer journey mapping and service design.
  • Exposure to front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Vue.js, Angular).
  • Understanding of technical SEO and performance optimisation (page speed, lazy loading, etc.).
  • Involvement in new business pitches or presenting CRO insights in commercial settings.
