Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a CRM Customer Golden Layer Principal Data Engineer for a 12-month remote contract in the UK. This role centers on creating a robust customer golden layer and data models, with Databricks workflow oversight.

You will design identity, consent, and transaction models, manage mappings, ensure data quality across systems, and collaborate with analytics consumers. Requires expert SQL, Python/Spark, and CRM domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Own crm_customer_gold and associated Golden Layer facts/dimensions.
• Design customer, identifier, consent, transaction, redemption and feedback models.
• Manage source-to-target mapping, SCD/history handling, lineage and DQ.
• Own Databricks workflow scheduling, trigger dependencies, freshness and runtime optimisation.

Must have:

• Expert SQL, Python/Spark, Databricks and dimensional/data-product modelling.
• SCD1/SCD2, CDC, historical backfill and high-volume transaction processing.
• Orchestration, CI/CD, testing, observability and production support.
• CRM, loyalty, consent and customer-identity domain experience.
• Ability to work with CIS, Comarch, SFMC, AWS/Data Hub and analytics consumers.

CRM Customer Golden Layer Principal Data Engineer Role overview
