Job title: Criticality Safety Discipline Lead
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable (DOE)
Location: Reading
Hours of work: 40 hours Mon-Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:

  1. Relevant degree or equivalent
  2. Demonstrable experience of nuclear and conventional fire safety assessment and nuclear safety assessment and management
  3. Experience leading a team
  4. Knowledge of nuclear hazard identification and analytical tools
  5. Understanding of nuclear safety assessment principles and regulatory guidelines
  6. Ability to gain SC and DV clearance
  7. Experience in a supervisory role

Ideally applicants should also have:

  1. Experience of safety case in civils and defense
  2. Experience of international nuclear safety assessment and project controls

Role information:

  1. Implement and monitor project specific management and technical arrangements
  2. Coordinate assessment and analysis delivery for projects
  3. Advice on regulatory standards, guidance and compliance
  4. Assist safety case assurance through the project
  5. Liaise with all related functions to ensure works are completed to spec
  6. Liaise with regulators and safety committees
