Job Description:

Critical Infrastructure Technologist - Level 4

Location: Cheltenham, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts dedicated to making a significant impact. Be part of a high-performing team working on complex and critical projects to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing planned preventative maintenance and assisting with reactive maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, and SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). This role involves working permanent nights from Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm to 6 am, based at our Pirin Court Depot near Canning Town.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting qualified technicians in fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens
  • Attending planned, remedial, and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining SISS assets and reporting station communication faults
  • Using field IT equipment for real-time maintenance data
  • Coordinating with Telent Service Centre for task updates and completion

Ideal candidate profile:

This entry-level role is suitable for hands-on individuals who can multi-task and enjoy learning. Experience in a similar role or understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures is advantageous.

Key requirements:

  • CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background
  • Proficiency with O365 and IT awareness
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to work nights from Pirin Court Service Centre
