Critical Engineering Supervisor – East London

Location: East London

Salary: £55,000

Hours: Days Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Service Provider situated in London. PRS are currently recruiting for a Critical Engineering Supervisor to work on a unique site located in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and ideally hold previous supervisory experience. He or she will effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the maintenance teams to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the site’s Mechanical and Electrical services, liaising with clients daily to keep them informed of all activities on site. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £55,000, overtime, further training, and career progression.

Duties:

• Support Helpdesk by allocating calls to the correct engineers for your sites – escalation as required
• Ensure availability of resources for designated contracts
• Make and document any PPM changes / variations – Change Control Process, CAFM
• Review Engineering Job Sheets promptly for accuracy, legibility, procurement (materials and quotations), problem solving
• Supervise material budgets per contract
• Complete PPM and Reactive Maintenance duties when required
• Review assets timely to ensure planning accuracy
• Be available for out-of-hours call-out support for designated contracts
• Cover sites during absence as directed by Contract Manager
• Ensure all contracts under control are statutory compliant
• Carry out toolbox talks following ICMS procedures
• Ensure all engineers follow risk assessments for all works

Requirements:

• City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognized equivalent
• 17th or 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Registration or recognized equivalent
• Approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services
