Job summary

The Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting staff nurses for ITU/HDU/POCCU to join a dedicated Critical Care team. We value compassionate, patient-centered care and require an Enhanced DBS with barred lists for Adults and Children. Immediate availability is essential, and UK experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with degree/diploma and NMC registration.
• Critical care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS with barred lists for Adults & Children required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and receives complex information relating to patients and care plans with confidentiality.
• Communicates compassionately and empathetically, using persuasion and reassurance.
• Communicates effectively while providing training to students and MDT members.
• Maintains training for clinical skills as needed within scope of practice.
• Responds to complaints/concerns and escalates as required; adheres to NMC code.
• Ensures incidents/near misses are reported and managed.
