Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our proactive Critical Care Outreach Team. The Critical Care Outreach team at the West Suffolk NHS trust is a passionate team of Nurses who have a varied background, and we are looking for staff to join the team.

We are seeking passionate and motivated staff who have experience in acute nursing, within an acute trust.

The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills and will need to prioritise their workload as will be carrying out assessment and delivering care to deteriorating patients trust wide leading to early intervention and treatment, autonomous working is therefore essential.

Formal and informal education is an integral part of the role and you will take an active part in education and training of the staff within the trust around the management of deteriorating patient, trust induction and any in house education.

Main duties of the job

Assessing patients who have been referred to the CCOT by trust wide MDT members.

Communicate with MDT to ensure care is delivered in a timely manner, leasing with Critical Care as required.

Active part of the cardiac arrest team, attending Major Haemorrhage calls and Traumas.

Supporting paediatric teams with any paediatric emergencies.

Active involved with education of trust staff.

Manging critical care outreach caseload.
