Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care team. The role is Band 5, permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts including early, late and night duties.

The department includes a 33-bed critical care unit and a 5-bed enhanced surgical recovery area for Level 1.5 post-op patients. Key duties include providing high-quality critical care, supporting patients and families, and contributing to multidisciplinary care with a focus on patient

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Diploma in Nursing required.
• Desirable: mentorship/teaching qualification.
• Desirable: post-registration qualification in relevant specialty.
• Must have 6 months post-registration experience in a relevant clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment and nursing standards.
• Determine nursing priorities and plan patient care.
• Maintain nursing records per NMC and Trust guidelines.
• Contribute to Essence of Care and clinical benchmarking.
• Assist in drug administration and management of complex care needs.
