Job summary

The North East Wales Emergency Duty team within Wrexham County Borough Council provides crisis intervention and social care support outside normal hours. Experienced Social Workers and AMHPs coordinate responses across Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire, with strong collaboration with Police, A&E, Ambulance Service and GP practices.

Ideal candidates are experienced in child protection social work, with a creative approach to problem solving and ability to work flexibly in a busy on-call

Qualifications

• Experienced Social Worker required with AMHP experience.
• Desirable to have child protection Social Work background.
• Must be enthusiastic, imaginative and creative in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crisis interventions outside office hours.
• Work with Police, A&E, Ambulance Service and GP partners.
• Provide robust support to EDT staff and day teams.
• Cover diverse areas including children and adults at risk.
