Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an engagement lead to develop and deliver engagement activity for the Crisis and Resilience Fund. You will report to the Project Manager and work with contracted providers to engage citizens, communities and a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring information is accessible.

You will capture voices, presenting findings to the Crisis and Resilience Advisory Board and other strategic meetings, and apply evaluation methods to ensure communications remain

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating engagement projects and communication outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engagement activity for the Crisis and Resilience Fund across diverse audiences.
  • Capture voices and experiences from citizens and communities and present findings to the Advisory Board and other meetings.
  • Design and evaluate a range of engagement methods to ensure accessible information and meaningful participation.

Salary:£36,621 - £40,458 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Working Hours:37 Hours per week

About the Role

This role is to develop and deliver engagement activity for the Crisis and Resilience Fund. Reporting to the Project manager and working with contracted providers, you will be responsible for designing engagement activity that sits across citizens, communities and a wide range of stakeholders to support the outcomes of the Crisis and Resilience Fund. You will be required to develop and evaluate a wide range of communication and engagement methods to enable effective engagement with a wide range of target audiences, ensuring that information is accessible.

You will be required to capture the voices of citizens, gathering their experiences and present the findings to the Crisis and Resilience Advisory Board and other strategic meetings both internally and externally.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to make connections both with members of the public and other engagement leads to ensure strong working relationships, collaboration and communication channels.

You will require knowledge and experience in a range of evaluation methods to ensure that communications and engagement continue to meet the requirements as identified in the Crisis and Resilience Fund guidance.

A standard DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Demonstrate that you are able to lead the development, implementation, reporting and evaluation of the CRF through a knowledge of local and national priorities
  • Be able to implement and review the CRF engagement plan
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, using a working knowledge of health inequalities and of health promotion and behaviour change principles.
  • Provide high quality advice to LCC Members (including the relevant Lead Members, Cabinet and Scrutiny) and officers (specifically Corporate Management Team, Department Management Team and corporate boards) through appropriate communication and dialogue.
  • Be able to apply a range of evaluation methodologies to enable engagement that is person/community centred and report on any findings
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or demonstrate relevant experience
  • Be flexible in your approach
