Job description

Teacher of Criminology required for long term contract in Flintshire

A popular Secondary School in Flintshire, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Criminology and Sociology Teacher to join their committed Humanities and Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will be teaching KS4 and KS5 students, delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, social awareness, and a deep understanding of societal structures.

The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and a supportive pastoral system.


Role Responsibilities:


* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Criminology and Sociology at GCSE and A-Level
* Encourage analytical thinking, debate, and independent research
* Assess and track student progress in line with curriculum and exam board standards
* Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported

You will have the ability to motivate learners and achieve excellent results whilst showing a passion for the subject and working collaboratively as part of a team.
You will have strong classroom management with excellent subject knowledge.
You will be able to adapt quickly within the department and be a team player. You must be UK qualified with QTS. Both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) are encouraged to apply.
