Job summary

Sunderland Sixth Form is seeking a Programme Leader & Lecturer in Criminology & Law to join the team in Sunderland. The role focuses on curriculum development, high-quality teaching and assessment for learners within a supportive Sixth Form environment.

The post is part-time (29.6 hours/week), fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in safeguarding and learner progression.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a degree in Law/Criminology and preferably have lecturer status.
• Experience in Criminology and Law teaching is required or desirable.
• Excellent planning, assessment and safeguarding practices are expected.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop Curriculum intent and provide high-quality learning resources.
• Maintain accurate data at programme/course level for recruitment, retention and progression.
• Lead on delivery of exemplary teaching, learning and assessment standards.
• Provide guidance and support to learners to achieve their goals and ensure wellbeing.
