Axcis Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Patchway, supporting pupils aged 5–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism and learning disabilities.
Your understanding of human behaviour, social influences, trauma, vulnerability and the factors that shape people's lives provides an excellent foundation for working with vulnerable young people.
This is an opportunity to put your academic knowledge into practice, helping pupils build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning.
This is a specialist, inclusive setting with a strong focus on personalised education and understanding individual needs.
Pupils follow tailored learning pathways designed around their development, from early learning and life skills through to GCSEs and functional qualifications.
The latest Ofsted monitoring visit in September 2025 recognised progress in school improvement, with increasingly calm and orderly classrooms and a growing emphasis on helping pupils manage their emotions and re-engage with learning.
Previous school experience is not essential.
