Are you a criminology graduate looking to take your first (or next) step into a meaningful career? Passionate about supporting people with lived experience of the criminal justice system? This could be your perfect opportunity.

An innovative charity is launching a pioneering new support programme and is seeking someone driven, compassionate, and ready to help individuals build a better future. You'll be part of a team offering one-to-one guidance to people in prison and on probation, helping them resettle into their communities with dignity and purpose.

What You'll Do
  1. Work directly with individuals at HMP Elmley (34 days/week) and in Sittingbourne and Maidstone community services.
  2. Provide 1:1 support focused on employment, housing, and life skills.
  3. Help clients set achievable goals and build confidence as they prepare for life after custody.
  4. Offer a trauma-informed, person-centred approach that builds trust and fosters long-term change.
Who We're Looking For
  1. Criminology graduates eager to begin their careers in criminal justice.
  2. Experience—paid or voluntary—in supporting vulnerable individuals (e.g., ex-offenders, people with mental health challenges, or those facing homelessness or addiction).
  3. Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a genuine commitment to social justice.
Examples of Relevant Backgrounds

Resettlement worker, supported housing officer, employment advisor, substance misuse worker, mental health support staff, volunteer mentor, or prison/probation volunteer.
