An innovative charity is launching a pioneering new support programme and is seeking someone driven, compassionate, and ready to help individuals build a better future. You’ll be part of a team offering one-to-one guidance to people in prison and on probation—helping them resettle into their communities with dignity and purpose.

What you’ll do:

  • Work directly with individuals at HMP Elmley (3–4 days/week) and in Sittingbourne and Maidstone community services.
  • Provide 1:1 support focused on employment, housing, and life skills.
  • Help clients set achievable goals and build confidence as they prepare for life after custody.
  • Offer a trauma-informed, person-centred approach that builds trust and long-term change.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Criminology graduates eager to begin their careers in criminal justice.
  • Experience—paid or voluntary—supporting vulnerable individuals (e.g., ex-offenders, people with mental health challenges, or those facing homelessness or addiction).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a genuine commitment to social justice.

Examples of relevant backgrounds:

Resettlement worker, supported housing officer, employment advisor, substance misuse worker, mental health support staff, volunteer mentor, or prison/probation volunteer.

What’s in it for you?

  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing over time
  • 2 paid volunteering days each year
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Ongoing training, development, and career progression
