Job description

Are you a criminology graduate ready to kick-start your career—but already have some experience supporting people in the criminal justice system or with similar challenges (such as mental health, homelessness, or substance misuse)?

This is your chance to join a Best Companies recognised charity as they launch a new, cutting-edge support service across the Thames Valley.

You’ll manage a small caseload, helping individuals in probation or prison settings to resettle into the community—providing one-to-one guidance around housing, employment, and personal development.

You will be based at a local probation site (likely in Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire) and cover the wider region, including Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, and surrounding prisons (HMP Aylesbury, Woodhill, and Springhill). Travel beyond your base is expensed, but you’ll need to drive and have, or be willing to get, business insurance on your vehicle.

This is an excellent opportunity for criminology graduates with paid or voluntary experience supporting vulnerable client groups or those with justice involvement.

Please apply via this advert—we aim to respond to everyone. If you don’t receive feedback within 72 hours, feel free to reach out using the ‘Contact Us’ form on the Red 5 People website. You’re also welcome to call the office and ask for James for direct assistance (contact details are available on the Red 5 People website).

Benefits include:

  • 25 days annual leave (increasing over time)
  • 2 paid volunteering days per year
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Life assurance
