Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment seeks an experienced Criminal Solicitor for a Hereford-based law firm. The role involves managing a varied caseload across criminal matters and representing clients in court, at the police station, and in meetings with the team.

You will work in a supportive environment, handling client advice (in person, by phone, or video) and drafting/legal review of documents to build a strong case for clients.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 2–5 years PQE in criminal law.
• Experience representing clients in court and at police stations is desirable.
• Strong client-care and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Representing and advising clients in a variety of criminal matters.
• Representing clients in all aspects of criminal proceedings in court.
• Representing and advising clients in the police station.
• Collaborating with solicitors, paralegals, secretaries and support staff to manage caseloads.
• Providing advice in person, via telephone or video conference.
• Drafting legal documents and reviewing documentation.
• Establishing a compelling position for the client with a solid understanding of criminal law.
