Job summary

Waythrough in Torquay is seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker to support individuals in the criminal justice system who face mental health, alcohol and drug challenges. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes assessments, recovery planning and delivering one-to-one and group interventions.

You will coordinate care with probation services, courts and health providers, monitor progress, keep accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and risk management.

Qualifications

• Assessment, care planning and case management in criminal justice, mental health or substance use settings.
• Experience delivering one-to-one support, group work, and motivational interventions.
• Knowledge of criminal justice processes, safeguarding and risk management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with service users, families and partners.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and use digital systems.
• Trauma-informed, person-centered and evidence-based approaches.
• Qualification in social care, criminal justice, psychology, counselling, or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding, health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop personalized recovery plans for individuals in the criminal justice system.
• Provide one-to-one and group interventions to support recovery and behavior change.
