Job summary

Change Grow Live in Hastings is seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to support people in the criminal justice system through entry, treatment and recovery journeys. You will conduct screening, assessments and recovery planning, linking individuals with onward referrals and coordinating with police, courts and probation.

You will work to promote social reintegration, resilience and self-determination, while coordinating group work programmes and maintaining strong multi-agency

• Excellent verbal and written communication with proficient IT skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.
• Support specific group work programmes or workshops designed to meet the needs of our service users.
• Provide a seamless link between police/court custody suites, prison and the community ensuring Continuity of Care throughout the criminal justice pathway.
• Liaise with Courts, police and probation and other partners to promote effective multi-agency work.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and the wider community.

Join Our East Sussex Team as a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for aCriminal JusticeRecovery Coordinatorto join our service in Hastings. This role is delivering group work programmes, one-to-one key work, case management and working closely with our partner agencies, particularly police, prisons, probation and courts. Ensuring people accessing CGL services via the criminal justice system can improve and change their lives and reduce reoffending.

Where: Hastings

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain MOJ vetting

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

• Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
• Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
• Supporting specific group work programmes or workshops designed to meet the unique needs of our service users.
• Provide a seamless link between police/court custody suites, prison and the community ensuring Continuity of Care throughout the criminal justice pathway.
• Close liaison and multi-agency working with other professionals and partnership agencies including Courts, police and probation.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement

About you:

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have an understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field.
• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with proficient IT skills
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain MOJ vetting

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41)
