The purpose of this role is to undertake the statutory functions and duties of a Police Custody and Security Officer, providing for the care, welfare, security and escort of persons in custody in accordance with standard operating procedures and relevant legislation; and where required undertake the role of Custody Officer.
To be responsible for the processing, procedures and security of all productions retained for possible use at court and to provide a custodier service in relation to lost, found and stolen property.
To support the administration of various criminal justice processes including the processing and maintenance of warrants and other legal documents; review and transmission of standard prosecution reports and other associated documents; and creation, maintenance and quality assurance of criminal justice records.
At designated locations, to support Local Policing by carrying out administrative functions associated with public counter services including the provision of advice, guidance and processing of police related queries.
A driving licence is desirable for this role.
Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen or a foreign national free of restrictions.
You should have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application for this role.
