Key responsibilities for the Crime Solicitor include:

  • Attending, advising, and representing clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts across London, focusing on East and South London.
  • Preparing cases for trial in both magistrates’ courts and crown courts.
  • Working with clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds, including those with limited English proficiency and vulnerable individuals such as youth, disabled, or those with mental health issues.
  • Collaborating with the specialist youth crime unit within the criminal department.
  • Liaising with colleagues in the firm’s mental health department to provide comprehensive client support.
  • Handling out-of-hours work as required.
