Criminal Defence Solicitor (Protest and General Crime) 0-3 years' PQE required for our Client in London. On offer are flexible hybrid working, opportunities for professional development and a supportive and inclusive working environment.

Our client is a prestigious, Legal 500-recognised firm known for its exceptional record in protest and criminal defence law. The team has led landmark cases involving significant protest and human rights issues, advocating in both high-profile and appellate court matters.

Key Responsibilities of the Crime Solicitor:

  • Representing clients involved in high-profile protest cases and general crime matters.
  • Engaging in advocacy at Magistrates, Crown, and Appellate Courts.
  • Assisting and managing cases involving human rights and protest-related legal issues.
  • Developing case strategies, conducting legal research, and preparing documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with senior team members for support and guidance.
  • Attending police stations and providing immediate representation and advice.

Requirements of the Crime Solicitor:

  • Qualified solicitor with 0-3 years’ PQE.
  • Previous experience in criminal defence, with protest experience being advantageous.
  • Police station accreditation or duty solicitor status preferred.
  • Demonstrable advocacy experience or a keen interest in developing strong advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
