Job Description:

Wincanton is looking for a Security Services Cluster Manager to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Security Services Cluster Manager, ideally based in the South. The role involves traveling to sites within your area of responsibility (indicative – M25 corridor), providing leadership and direction for the Crime & Security Team Leader and Officer teams, ensuring service excellence.

You will build strong relationships with site management and foster your team’s ability to provide professional security services that protect colleagues, property, and brand reputation.

The position is initially offered on a fixed-term contract, with renewal discussions planned for late 2025.

Reporting to: the Security Services Operations Manager

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, coaching, and developing Crime & Security Officers and Team Leaders within your area.
  • Monitoring contract-specific security and risk reduction duties across your cluster, and training teams to fulfill SOP/SSOW responsibilities.
  • Supporting risk-based security review programs to maintain compliance with Authorised Economic Operator status.
  • Ensuring all KPIs and service levels are met, implementing measures to address shortfalls as needed.
  • Engaging in personal development and continuous improvement, including safety training provided by Wincanton.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in security or similar industry sectors.
  • SIA license, with operational security and risk mitigation expertise, preferably in supply chain environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with strong time management skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to obtain government SC clearance if required.
