Job description

Social network you want to login/join with:

I’m working with a specialist criminal defence firm – one of the UK’s first all-female law practices – who are looking to hire an experienced Paralegal to join their growing team.

The firm specialises in defending clients accused of sexual offences and domestic violence, with a strong focus on providing not just legal representation but emotional support throughout what can be an incredibly traumatic time. This is a phenomenal time for an experienced paralegal to join this growing team—with immediate opportunities for involvement in complex, sensitive, and rewarding work.

What They’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years’ experience as a paralegal, ideally within criminal defence
  • Experience in legal aid, private client work, or both
  • Police Station Accreditation is desirable but not essential
  • LPC or SQE part-completion is welcome
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Immediate availability is ideal – interviews taking place this week and early next

Important: The firm is not looking for candidates who have worked exclusively on driving offences. Broader criminal defence experience is strongly preferred.

About the Firm:

  • This is a truly unique opportunity to join a values-led law firm with over years of combined experience in criminal law. The Director has spent years defending both men and women falsely accused of serious offences and has built a firm that puts honesty, compassion, and specialist legal advice at the forefront of its mission.
  • They work closely with top barristers and forensic experts, and their supportive, client-first approach sets them apart in this niche area of criminal defence.
  • If you’re passionate about criminal law and ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment, I’d love to hear from you.
