My client is seeking a dynamic, commercially minded Crime Duty Solicitor to join their firm in Blackburn, Lancashire.

The successful Crime Duty Solicitor will join a friendly and supportive firm that has established itself as one of the leading Criminal Law firms in the area, attracting challenging, high-profile cases across general and serious crime and fraud.

The firm handles both legal aid cases and represents privately paying clients, thus expecting a high level of advice and representation. Their privately paying clients expect nothing but the best—a service to be proud to deliver around the clock. As a result, the successful candidate will be expected to flex to the needs of the business when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a caseload of Crime Work, including representation at the Police Station and Magistrates Court.
• Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.
• Develop and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new business.
