Job summary

Chopstix is hiring in Milton Keynes for a Chef to create bold flavours in our open kitchen, cooking to Chopstix recipes with energy and pace.

You'll become a Chopstix Food Expert, learn our techniques, ensure food safety, and deliver a great dining experience to every guest. Full training is provided to help you grow with us.

Qualifications

• A passion for food and delivering quality every time.

• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

• The ability to stay organised and focused during busy periods.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is helpful, but not essential as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve food to Chopstix recipes and specifications
• Deliver great-tasting food with consistency, quality, and speed
• Work across all kitchen stations, including food preparation, cooking, and service
• Ensure products are always fresh, presented correctly, and ready for our Flavour Cravers
• Monitor stock levels and support deliveries, stock rotation, and waste control
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment throughout your shift
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational routines as required

What You’ll Be Doing

• Up for late nights? We may trade until 4am on select nights - flexibility is key!
• Prepare, cook, and serve food to Chopstix recipes and specifications
• Deliver great-tasting food with consistency, quality, and speed
• Work across all kitchen stations, including food preparation, cooking, and service
• Ensure products are always fresh, presented correctly, and ready for our Flavour Cravers
• Monitor stock levels and support deliveries, stock rotation, and waste control
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment throughout your shift
• Support the team during busy trading periods to keep service flowing smoothly
• Learn and develop your wok skills through our training programmes
• Work closely with front-of-house colleagues to deliver a seamless customer experience
• Take pride in the quality of every dish leaving the kitchen
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational routines as required
