Crematorium Manager

Full time hours - 40 hours per week

£42,000 - £52,000 per annum + Discretionary performance bonus + Benefits

Permanent role

Aum Crematorium

AUM is partnering with Westerleigh Group to bring a new crematorium to the community in 2027, specifically designed to accommodate Hindu, Jain and Sikh funeral rites, while welcoming families and individuals of all faiths and beliefs, as well as those with no religious affiliation.

We are recruiting now to ensure plenty of time for training to ensure you are set up for success.

You may not have considered a career in this sector before - and that's absolutely fine. Many of our colleagues joined us from completely different backgrounds, bringing valuable transferable skills and experiences with them.

With full industry training provided, along with ongoing learning and career development, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in a role where every day is different and the work you do has a genuine and lasting impact on the families and communities we serve.

The role

Having ownership of a brand new site means a blank canvass where you can make your mark. You will also spend lot's of time networking and raising awareness of your new site before it opens to help establish it as a respected and valued part of the local community. You will be partnered with a mentor and undertake extensive training at our other local sites with experienced Managers.

You'll have full ownership of the day-to-day operations, performance and P&L. Alongside developing your team and shaping a culture that reflects our values, you'll help maintain our reputation for quality and exceptional care and build strong relationships with families and Funeral Directors who rely on our expertise when it matters most.

The services we provide continue to change and adapt to the ever-growing call for more choice when it comes to a final goodbye and no two days will be the same as each family and service are uniquely personal.

Your ideas and creativity will also help shape the individuality of your site, some of our Crematorium Managers have implemented bee hives, wildflower meadows, animal habitats, regular quiz nights and coffee mornings to name but a few!

We combine strong commercial awareness with a deeply caring approach, ensuring every decision supports both the future sustainability of our services and that families are at the heart of everything we do.

When you join us, it's an opportunity to be a part of something truly meaningful and significant.
