Credit Underwriter – Asset Finance

Location: Manchester – hybrid

Salary: To £70,000 with very attractive bonus and benefits

Our client is a highly respected and well-established finance company who operates across a broad range of assets. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Credit Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

  1. Expert evaluation and underwriting of all business channels in line with agreed domestic and central risk policies.
  2. Maintain and promote good governance, credit processes, and agreed service levels for all business origination, approvals, collateral, and restructuring.
  3. Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit in all business channels, primarily for mid-ticket transactions.
  4. Support sales-aid leasing/flow business when required.
  5. Generate and evaluate financial ratios and exercise personal sanctioning authority.
  6. Maintain compliance with all leading industry guidelines.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have several years’ experience in a risk-focused role within an Asset Finance background with a personal mandate.
