Job summary

CBC Recruitment Solutions in Southampton is seeking a Credit Underwriter for SME Lending. The role is hybrid, with one or two days in the office, and focuses on underwriting new business and delivering timely credit decisions within policy.

You will prepare credit papers, provide commercially balanced recommendations, and support Senior Credit Managers as required. Attractive salary (£60,000) plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit underwriting, preferably SME lending.
• Ability to deliver timely credit decisions within SLA and in line with policy.
• Strength in preparing credit papers and presenting recommendations.

• Provide commercially balanced recommendations to colleagues where new business applications are above the Underwriter’s credit mandate
• Assist in the preparation of credit papers for submission

Our client is the asset finance subsidiary of a niche banking group and specialises in the provision of asset finance and leading facilities for the truck, trailer, bus, coach and specialist vehicles sectors.

Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Credit Underwriter to support SME Lending’s underwriting process to ensure the integrity and quality of new business proposals and the SME Lending portfolio.
