The Role

As a Credit Underwriter, you’ll be responsible for assessing and approving business loan applications, playing a key role in supporting strong, commercially driven lending decisions.

• Assess creditworthiness of SME clients applying for business loans up to £50k.
• Analyse financial statements, bank data, and credit reports.
• Make informed lending decisions within delegated authority.
• Work closely with brokers and internal sales teams.
• Balance risk management with a commercial, deal-focused mindset.
